1964 cub lo-boy hydraulics and transmission/gear box

Hello- There is a check port behind the shifter {square head plug}. How full should it be? also, should the hydraulic reservoir have fluid flush to the bottom of the filler plug hole?

There is a fill line plug on the side of the trans. Left hand side.

Yes. Doesn't have to be perfect. I usually fill till it runs out, install the plug and add just a tad more.
