Which Batterie for the Diesel?
 

Hi,

today i have a Question, what is the best Battery for the Garden Tracror with the Kubota D-640?
I made the Battery under the Seat of my 782 and the biggest one, that will fit, is a 30 AH Battery with 300 A Cold Cranking,

you can get a gel battery from interstate there for wheel chairs but there great for garden tractor's the couple sizes, but the one I use is the same size as a regular garden tractor battery, that one has 600 cc (cold cracking). I bought a new one for 75.00 in spring they make one about the size of a motor bike but I not sure what the cc is on it. you might be able to get a blem with is a good used one for 35 in garden tractor size. hope this helps.

The battery in a 2182, which is the gas Kubota, came with a battery that had 500 cold cranking amps. I wouldn't go with one any smaller than that for reliable starting cold. The battery group size was 26R.

Is the Electric System of an 782 D compatible with an Battery with AGM Technology?
I can get a Power Star Battery with 35 AH and 430 CCA, here in Germany for a good Price,

The gear reduction starter and glow plug upgrade will help a lot in regards to battery size. I don't have to crank my 1782 near as long with them. It cranks the engine faster while using less current.
