149 front blade lift trouble

my blade only lifts about 1 1/2 -2 " off the ground, is this normal? thanks chris

No, it isn't. It should lift at least about 4".

You might want to make sure you have the correct lift rod.

Or make sure the Rock shaft pin isn't sheared off. That's what happened to my sons 149 and the removal of the pin was a bear...

Ya it doesn't have the rock pin installed, which I thought could be the problem. What should be the length of the lift rod, I'd like to check that also. Thanks Chris
