New guy here from Ohio

I just picked up my first garden tractor for me and my boy to tinker with yesterday. It's a cub cadet 1000 quietline. I'm not sure of the year, but seems to be a neat little tractor.

Btw - Here is a picture of the ole girl. Worth $250?? Runs like a top just a sloppy shifter that i gotta figure out. I have no clue why the pic keeps going upside down. lol

Welcome to OCC......... :Welcome2:

YUP, it is worth $250. The Quietline series is a solid built tractor. I own one too and one of my favorites.

That's a pretty clean 1000. There was a couple of threads on here on welding up the shifter guides. Didn't look too bad if you are handy with a welder

:Welcome2:

Glad you got a project for you and your son and the 1000 QL is a very fine tractor.....I have one myself (Just wish mine could defy gravity like yours does :biggrin2:). You can find the year and month of the production of your machine by looking up the serial number found on the tag on your frame or rearend with these numbers:

This and a whole lot more information (manuals, guides, etc.) can be found in the technical section of this forum.

Glad to have you as a member,
