Qa-42
9 Attachment(s)
I picked up 2 of them yesterday. The bolt on snow thrower needs serious TLC. The quick-attach one has me puzzled. No ID tag that I can find & I can't see where the holes it would have been mounted with are filled in. Never saw an attachment with these type decals on it. I can't tell that it has been repainted. What's going on? Last picture, note the lift arm and the lever on the bottom bar in front of it. Is the lift arm correct or homemade. Any idea what the lever is for? It's on a threaded stud like the chute locks.

WOW, Did the Lord look out for me!!!! Really started looking at the 2 and the gear box mounts/ attachment arms are different. The nice one is a QA-42A.
HOORAH! |
It's mounted & operates on the 1450, but there was nothing quick about it. It seemed the bracket wasn't wide enough. :bigthink:

I see in the manual that the wing nut is used to holf the lift arm bracket which keeps the hitch upright? |
I think the bracket on the lift arm is homemade. The thrower looks like it was mounted on a narrow frame, maybe it was easier for the PO to make that adapter then shorten the lift rod? The stud and wing nut (you called a lever) on the bottom arm is a "kickstand". If you take the upper link (above the lift arm in the last pic, first post) off at the tractor side and drop it down, it has a hole in the middle that goes on the stud. It holds the qa frame steady as you mount it.
