Snowblower question
 

I just bought my first cub cadet, a 104. I was looking for a snowblower for it. I was wondering what snowblower would fit it, and if a mule drive would be necessary to have a snowblower. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The 104 is considered a Narrow Frame (NF) tractor. The following Snow Throwers can be easily mounted to your tractor:

* QA36
* QA42
* QA36A
* QA42A

Roland posted the models that fit. The QA42A ( and 36 ) are adjustable width mount so they fit either NF ( like yours ) or WF.

The mule drive is part of the snowthrower ( a snowthrower is a single stage unit and a snowblower is a two stage unit. )

Something else you will want to consider. To be most effective the snow thrower housing needs to be kept full of snow, or it will either not throw well or clog OR both. Keeping the thrower housing full depends on the amount of snow on the ground and the ground speed of the tractor.

Your best chance of keeping the housing full of snow with a gear drive tractor is to use a tractor with a creeper gear.
