Winter projects
Well, very soon we , or most of us anyway, will be in our shops with the stove or furnace going and be working on a project to keep busy this winter. So, the question is---- what have you got planned for a winter project(s)? I'll be finishing the paint work on the 782D and installing the turbo kit. What have you got planned?

I'd settle for getting my garage where I can actually DO a project in it.... and a furnace.... maybe some more lights/electric, insulation..... :BlahBlah:

1932 ford coupe and fixing any thing that breaks on my 149 while in the snow.

Start restoring my 982, two cyclops rear braces and drill drain holes.
Rebuild (2) 12hp and one 10. :IH Trusted Hand: |
You asked so here goes:
Farmall Super A--front transmission seal IH 454--steering cylinder leaking and a bad hydraulic leak on something on the transmission cover top--may have to pull fenders and fuel tank (it has saddle tanks, kind of) 1811--clean hydro out, rebuild carb and 50" deck 782--see what it needs (just bought it) and put a deck from a burnt 1810 under it. New Holland 276 baler--pickup attachment is slipping too easily, replace bushings in overrunning clutch, sharpen/adjust knife Deere 4020---fix the fuel gauge 75 F-350--fix the fuel gauge Early 90's Club Car golf cart---do a cheap rebuild on the engine--smokes like a diesel! 682--replace blown kt17 with a magnum from burnt 1810 (if it survived the fire) 124--level the deck 122--clean out the fuel system and stop leaks farm shop--install those LED lights I bought 2 years ago Farmall Super A (another one)--resolve battery/starter issues Deere haywagon--make a new tailgate to fix the one I destroyed (don't ask) and fix broken floor boards I'm sure there is more, but I'll never get all of this done. |

I plan on resting up and hopefully enjoy snow removal and snow storms, I know it sounds crazy but I worked my butt off this summer:biggrin2:

My pre-winter project was getting the grass seed heads knocked down,,,
that happened Wednesday,,, now I have to decide whether to cover the mower for the winter,,, or,, just leave it set uncovered for the winter?? :bigthink: http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psgxdqkoav.jpg At some point this winter, I hope to get the second cutting edge installed in my DIY landplane. The landplane works great with one blade,,, hopefully a second blade will make it even better. http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psd0d4wooo.jpg Winter and welding just seem to go together!! :biggrin2: |
