Locking Adapter In Place
 

Has anyone ever came up with a way to lock your Brinly adapter in place? I notice when I pull my lawn sweeper, the adapter wants to move up. I was wanting to see, if there was a way to keep the adapter from being able to move. Looking forward to any suggestions, guys! :beerchug:

Isn't your adapter raised and lowered with a winch? That's not really an issue with the proper setup.

It sure is, Tim. I wish there was a way to lock it with the winch.

Can't you just take the adapter off and use the regular hitch?

You could make a bar that would wedge between the adapter and winch mount, then you could raise the winch to secure it in place.

Jonathan, it doesn't have the regular hitch. I would have already done that, if it did.

I'm sure there are a thousand pictures of the back of your tractor floating around but I can't find them...

Every time I "search" for "Allens rear end", something less than desireable comes up.

Post up a picture, maybe you can make up some kind of stiff arm for it.

Allen this is an easy one. Just cut a piece of wood that will fit between the frame and the hitch. See yellow box, put it in place and then just put enough pressure on the lift to hold it in place. :beerchug:

Or hang some weight on the tongue of the sweeper.:bigthink:
