Adding front hydraulics to a 2182
Talk me through adding front hydraulics to my 2182.... What all would be involved labor and parts wise.... Would it be worth the effort? I've got a line on a hydraulic angle blade for an SGT. I'm trying to decide if I should add front hydraulics, make the blade manual angle and sell the hydraulic setup, or an unknown third option.
I did a quick search, but didn't turn up anything that seemed to be what I was looking for. |
MTD manual 772-4100A. Can't link the PDF here. If you PM me an email address I could. Or contact MTD directly to have them email it to you.
http://www.mtdproducts.com/equipment...&serialNumber= You need a second valve obviously. There is also a special piece that goes between the valves called a union fitting or adapter-valve- Part Number 711-3294. Can be found looking up a model 3100 or similar 3000 series and checking out the attachment to put extra valves on. Don't forget to get some hoses or steel lines made up. The cub fittings are not made in captivity any where that I have found. http://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/AR...A/769018860001 Part number 9 --> 711-3294 Get a bag of o-rings from Fastenal. I believe the instructions are also in the big Cyclops manual 772-4166. |
Very straight forward. As Steve said, just a few parts. Took hardly anytime to add outlets on frond and back of an 1864 i have.
