Belt length 1650 50c deck
 

Have a 1650 with a 50c deck what is the correct belt length from the engine to the center pulley? Check two different places both places recommended the belt that say 84 in which is too long it's about 2 or 3 inches too long does anyone know the correct length? Thanks in advance.

The 50C mower deck was NEVER intended for the Quietline series tractors. The 44/50C series mower decks were designed for the 82 series tractors.

The correct deck for the Quietline series tractors would have been the 44/50A decks.

Given that, the correct belt for a 1650 with a 50A deck would be....IH-490489-R2 Belt

You can convert a 50C to a 50A by changing the double center pulley to....IH-59703-C2 Pulley

Make it simple, buy a 81,82,83" belts from napa, the one that fits is a keeper.

I've already changed the center pulley to a half inch I just need the belt length. The two places I checked on the Belt gave me a 50A belt but it's too long it measures 84 inches. Need a shorter belt any ideas?

Better get shorter ones than that. Book calls for a shorter one yet.


Roland, the part number for the belt you list does not match my book. I show it takes an IH-117465-C1. :bigthink:
