Fluid change

I have heard this both ways and wondering what you guys do. Do you change your fluids before you put your mower away for the winter or do you change them in the spring? Also why do you do it the way you do?

If equipment is just going to sit or only cranked periodically, we leave the fluids in it until spring, then change them. That way if there is any condensation that forms over winter, it gets drained away. We do make exceptions (obviously) for stuff that has to have the fluid drained to be worked on.

If I'm going to be using the tractor in the winter then i change the oil to the proper viscosity and then change it back in the spring, if its just going to sit then i wait until spring to change it.
