1650 Won't Roll

I've already got my 1650 engine partially disassembled and now I need to roll the tractor into the garage to work on it. But stupid me didn't test the hydro release lever before I rendered it immobile. How can I get the thing to roll if the release lever in front of the seat doesn't do anything?

Less you forget to release the brakes?

Floor jack? Kids skate board? You could pull the relief valves out of the top of the hydro, but it will pump oil out all over. If you have a set of automatic relief valves you can install them for the time being to allow you to roll the tractor.

Take off the tunnel cover and see if the release lever is broken. Before i fixed my 1450 that had a similar issue i just put a jack under the rear end jack it up and drag it around (jack has wheels). Assuming it isn't too far from your garage this might be an option.

edit: doc beat me to it.

Auto relief valves-should be able to move.

Manual relief valves-Take drive shaft tunnel off and push and hold button on top of relief valve(s) down. You should be able to move your 1650. You may need a helper to move it.

I moved my 149 by holding the buttons down on the top of the relief valves.

Floor jacks works as stated... if needed

Remove tunnel cover. Put a magnet on each valve, it will hold it down.

It is 50 yards out back so no jack stands or skateboards will work.

What does the release lever forward of the seat activate?
What you say "see if it is broken" do you mean see if the lever is no longer attached or ???

There should be a metal flap attatched to the lever. They are often broken off.

He is talking about the flat metal thing in this picture. It pushes down the buttons on the top of the release valves. You can't see it unless you take the tunnel cover off.
