1914 starter
 

It has been a while. I am now working on a cub cadet 1914 two cylinder Kohler and believe the starter is going out and don't see how to remove it . I can barely see it with the engine shrouds off. Wondered if there was a trick before dismantling it farther. No books on it yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanx steve

Steve, what engine do you have? The original was an Onan B48g. Do you have a Magnum or Command in it now?

I don't know how to tell which engine it is. It is a 2 cylinder.

The 1912/1914 rolled out of the Factory with a Onan B48G engine. There should be some signage on the motor that states so.

You are correct. After a little cleaning I found the tag. It is B48G. It looks like a bigger to get to. thanx steve
