Have I mixed brands before? Yes, and I have no worries. (I've mixed viscosities also.)
Have I mixed them for my Cub Cadet 129? No, the required capacity is so little, I always have enough on hand for an oil change.
Oh, and flux capacitors are only used in time travel.
