Default Questions on a 128

I wanted to know what the bushings in the back of the frame are for in the pic either lift arms or for a wider style pivot ? I want to drag a mower behind my cub instead of a belly one for one reason to be able to raise it high to mow tall grass
and in the second picture ,on the trans cover it shows a slot for a creeper gear lever was this the case on non hydro tractors ? I do not see a arm or shaft on the trans

the 3rd picture is my other Cub (tiger) I hope I don't cut grass with it .

also lost spark looks like the motor coming out when it first started it threw out dirt daubber nests for a minute

The bushings are for the cross shaft that holds the upper part of the sleeve hitch...

The creeper slot was used on gear tractors to give the owner the option of installing a creeper later...Sometimes the covers get used on hydros as well, but a hydro by definition already has a creeper.

For loss of spark, check that your PTO is turned off when you are trying to start....then go thru the usual suspects, points, condenser, coil, wiring etc.

Nice plane.. how old is it?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
