Tire Chains
I need to make a set of chains for both my 122 and 1450. Is there a chart somewhere that tells apx how long and wide the finished chains should be. I will be making these out of odds and ends of other chains I have around.

Dang that sounds like a lot of work! I've never seen a chart that tells the length and width's of different sized tire chains. If mine were off right now I'd measure them for you
 Ya might want to keep your eyes open for some used ones for sale or trade. I picked up a few pairs that friends were giving away over the years...Jeff (teet)

How wide are the tires? If they 23x8.50-12 you can may be cut down a set of truck chains i did that they work good.

I have sets of chains off of other garden tractors as well as car and truck chains. On the Wheelhorse I just sold I ran chains year round. The tires on the 1450 I have will spin sometimes in the grass while mowing and I hate that. I need to get a set of chains put togather for it and the 122. I have some heavy truck chains I wanted to get made for this winter and a set of lighter ones for mowing.
