Well I did a little cleanup at work tonite and figured I'd share the video I took. It's a bit shakey and doesn't quite cover the 3rd gear plow at the like I'd like it too but enjoy what I was able to get, I'm trying to widen the path from the rear or the building to the front. Hope you enjoy!!

Nice hydro! I'd say with that set-up and the 54" blade, you got it under control! Good video!

And yeah, when we get a major snow, there have been times I couldn't make it through with the blade alone because that snow piles up so high. That's why I want, NEED, to get my blower back in action. I'm running out of places to put that stinking white stuff ![]() Quote:

And as for the "noise" from the tranny, since this is the only gear Cub I've got to compare it to, I've never known any better. It got fresh Hy-Tran when I got it, no filter so couldn't change that, but it's always ran like a top for me, except when I had to have the gear shift fixed

It's definitely making a noise it should not be. A whine, I think that's why John thought it was a hydro. Need to look into it. I suspect a bad bearing on the input. I hear it whenever you let out on the clutch, even in neutral, so it' either something rubbing the driveline, or an input/topshaft bearing in the trans. Better check it out before your down another tractor!

Yep you have something making a bad noise in the drivetrain.

![]() And I was afraid of hearing something like that. Like I said, it's made that "whine" ever since I've had it. I've replaced pretty much everything (3 pin driver, drive flange, drive flange bushing, friction disc, pressure plate, drive spring, compression spring, spacer, release lever, bearing assembly, tranny fluid), except for the compression spring. Guess that means in the spring, I open her up even further. Doh! ![]() On the plus side, the 1811 is about ready for prime time so maybe she'll get a workout this weekend with the 5-6" we have coming

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
