The jd 301a my dad has has a hydro reverser but is gear shift. I wonder if they have that option on the cuts. Cheaper than hydro but almost as good.

Default 4WD's W/Loader
I myself like the blue ones. A New Holland is about the best sub compact I've run and I've run a few. They all got good & bad point's I know, how ever, I'm still trying to find the bad on a New Holland!

Take some time and research the good the bad and the ugly. Also find out what you have in your area as far as dealers and how good or bad they are. Sooner or later you will need parts or service so factor that into the equation especially if you are going to buy a used machine. Also consider resale value.

My orange unit has a quick detach FEL and Backhoe. I run a 60in belly mower from the second PTO. Hydro foot control while operating the loader makes a huge difference.

I'm with Gary on this one. My Bota sure does a nice job and the hydro is a dream to use when doing loader work. Mine has cruise control, so for mowing and such, set the cruise and go.
