1862 Nose
I did something really stupid last night. I needed to bring my 1862 to my house to be able to possibly move snow, and had a 5' 3 point blade on it. the trailer I have has a 7' bed length, so I had to back the tractor with blade, onto the trailer to have decent tongue weight. I strapped the tractor and blade down and used the loose strap to tie over the hood. apparently it was not tight enough, and wind caught the hood and ripped the hood and nose off the tractor. From what I am told, the hood more or less survived, but the mounts for the nose were definitely ripped off. I am now looking for a replacement nose, and I am willing to consider other options for the whole front plastic (hood, nose, side panels) I don't need all of it right now, just the nose.
Does anyone know how well 82 series metal would fit up to the dash on an 1862? I have an 82, but I didnt have time (and wont for a few days) to check to see what could possibly fit.
