been sitting where it is for a year, guy received it in partial payment for something or other..and never attempted to start it in any way didn't turn the motor by hand (or attempt to) because we found 4 snakes laying on it as it was..no way I was reaching down to try and turn it and risk finding more it's got a 44'' deck and wheel weights..i found from the serial number that it was built in 92, first year for this model what would you say it's worth as it sits..knowing only what is listed here (which is all I know right now) Edit: 1,436 hours on the meter, I screwed up and made it upside down evidently lol IMG_1501[1].jpg IMG_1502[1].jpg IMG_1503[1].jpg IMG_1504[1].jpg IMG_1505[1].jpg IMG_1506[1].jpg IMG_1507[1].jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
