Sea Foam will make it smoke blue..... How much did you add? That is probably the smoke.

Kick the premium gas. Use regular

Pull the tank, flush it out. Pull the carb and clean it. Tune it up: Spark plug, plug wire, points and condenser. You can file the points if they are still in good shape instead of replacement. Pull the head, decarbon the top end, plane it and install a new gasket. Time the ignition system. Tune the carb. I'd also suggest changing the rear end oil too.

Here are some threads to help you out:

Yea, I put in about 4 oz. of seafoam. What?? no premium gas? I thought non ethanol was good for these older engines. Thanks for pointing me the right way with the links, hopefully by the end of this week I will have updated this thread and see what I can find out. I'll take pictures too. Thanks a lot!

As far as knowing how to check these things, I can do it but I have no idea where to start so I will accept your help (:
Had the same problem when I tried sea foam. Drain the premium with the sea crap in it and run some good old 87 octane in it. Add a good fuel stabilizer. Premium fuel is design for engines that have high compression (9.5 to 1 or higher). Fuel with 10 % ethanol is a good fuel if you store it the right way.

Ok, quick edit for anyone keeping track and helping me with this. I have tried to ride around somebon the 102 and i have ruled out the transmission. The engine bogs down and can't get back up for like 2 minutes is how long it takes. Blue smoke and if you push it, white.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
