Front wheel sizes for 982 compared to 1650, 682?
Thought I posted this question last night, but I don't see it. Up til now I have been just forgetting what I've done. Now I'm starting to imagine I've done things I haven't. This getting old thing is for the birds. This getting old thing is for the birds. Did I mention that this getting old thing...
Anyway, I've been watching some threads about 982s and supers, as I learn about the red machines, since I bought my 682. The 682 has the same size front tires as my 1650, but the pics of the 982s and supers appear to have a larger, or maybe just wider front tire. I like the look. Is it actually a different size, or is it just my imagination? Will the rims interchange with my 682 and 1650? I know the 1650 has a smaller (3/4") spindle, but I would guess the outer bearing diameter would be the same. Would the wider tire adversely affect steering...enough to worry about?
