Here's my stack. I just did it half a$$ed and cut angles with a chop saw and welded together instead of trying to bend it. I left the factory manifold pipe on the block too. It looks and sounds cool

Air is a fluid, right?
At the chance of sounding rather ham-fisted, I just finished putting a stack on my new (to me) original. It had a big clunky galvanized pipe on it with an elbow. I hated it.
Short trip down to the local Lowe's store and I now have a pipe that I like. I picked up a chrome, 15-inch long section of sink drain pipe. I got the one that has the flange, not the threads. I cut two peices of a smaller section of pipe and then spliced out a section of each so that they would fit inside of the stack. With the two pieces acting as a bushing, the stack snugly slid over the cut section of galvanized pipe that threaded into the head. I put a light U-clamp over the joint to keep it in place. Sounds great, looks nice and, it's light so there's less chance of cracking the head. With the lighter, thin-walled stack, it's probably lighter than the original style muffler.
