Well, theoretically the 4-paddle should be able to empty itself twice as fast. My current QA-36A is a 4-paddle.

Where do you purchase the slip plate material? Is it brush or spray? and what is the dry time? Can it go over existing paint.
Regards,
Chris

Ok cool did not know about the 2-4 paddles on these throwers! I would agree the 4 paddle should be able to empty faster! Now cubs-n-bxrs could you post a couple pics of ur thrower paddles from the front? Got me curious now! LOL Would make sense to me the 4 paddle would be better for a non-hydro with out creeper then? Because of the tractor speed? Were as hydro you can inch them along? LOL Hope I'm not just love learning more about these tractors and their attachments! Thanks guys

Got mine at Tractor supply like $8 called EZ-slide. First time for me heard and read about it, so see if it helps. Dries really fast, I repainted my chute let it dry a couple hours and just sprayed it over top. Direction says paint should be scuffed up, i would scotch brite. I'm sure some others will post. They had have it in qts gal.

It probably would not matter because it doesn't change the fact that you still have to continuously vary your speed over the ground to keep the thrower full.

The brush-on graphite paint is a lot better than the spray can. It'll go on thicker so you won't have to reapply as often.

I used TSC Valspar oil base paint with hardener in it on the white thrower and it is holding up better than the EZ-Slide ever did. Brushed on. I think it works just as well if not better on this application.

Ok that is the style my dad had. This one seems to keep up better than my dads IMO. I haven't had any speed problems on this one so far. It seems to keep up fine has the speed-up pulley on it maybe that helps? Well next year when I give up the Hydro for the 108 it may come into play? So far I am pleased this is a link of me cleaning a run-way for the 5 pups to play frisbee in the back yard with 3-4 inches of snow! Spoiled damn dogs! LOL I may try the brush on after using up the spray. But I agree if you do a good paint job with some type of hardener like automotive paint should hold up well, and would think you wouldn't need it! When I refurb mine I will use some PPG,dupont, etc. or even if you could find the old Dupont Dulux we did my dads tractor, I bought it from him, and my brother bought it from me and still looks decent! Thats been some time in 97 we painted it! Heres a link: Thanks for the pics guys and info.

Sam thanks for posting the info on the slip plate.

Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
