Default Auction

I went to an auction today because they had alot of IH Cub cadet parts and Ih farm tractors and parts. There was 3 farmall m and h's. And a 147 with loader and 1282 with deck. The Cubs went for absolutley to much, at 2,200 for the 147 and 720 for the 1282. But a M with a loader only went for 825. i ended up leaving ther with another Brinly plow and hitch. 2 narrow frame, and 2 wide frame undercarriages. 3 rototiller/Snowblower gearboxes and a misc. parts pile with blade lift parts, air cleaners, clutch covers, hitchs, etc. I walked away without spending alot of money, but got all of these items. I will post pics tommorrow.

Yes I'd like to have a 1282 but there'd have to be something special about it and I doubt it posessed $740 worth of special.

If you have a clutch cover that would fit a 100 I would buy it if it is for sale. Sounds like you had a great score!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
