Thanks for the input everybody! The Battery I have is only rated at 300 CCA so I guess I will purchase a stronger one and my cables look like they could use a polish. Mark

There's nothing wrong with a 300CCA battery...only my diesel has a battery that is larger than 230CCA in it. Even the diesel will start with one of those in the summer. I've had at least one tractor from every series of IH Cub Cadet, and they all start just fine with that small battery, even in the winter.

Just my 2 cents but I like to run a larger size cable right to the engine block for the ground. Doing this helped my 1210 on those nice cold winter days in New England.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
