I have a 1650 no attachments hydro is good engine is strong what would be a good asking price to start at and what could I expect this to bring. I've seen 1450 going for 500 not running so I am hoping its more than that. Picture beside my name is the one.

That is the eternal question and one that is near impossible to answer. Location, condition, additions, implements all play a part in pricing.
In my area here, there is no way I would pay $500 for a non running cub. It would be hard for me to pay much more than that for one that is running and with no implements. You would normally be talking about another $150 to $200 for a good useable mower deck. I sold my 1250 with a 44a deck for about $700, but I had just pulled the motor and replaced all of the ISO mounts with OEM mounts, replaced everything in the drive line and fixed and replaced trunion parts. I probably had around $300 in just the repairs. The motor was in excellent mechanical condition and I had put a new head gasket on it as I wanted to know the condition of the cylinder. The 1250 in some point in time in the past had, had a paint job done and was super clean. I hate to price it for you not knowing much else about it. I'll let some of the other guys chime in and you and they can use this info for better or worse. Good luck in selling it. I would not mind owning a 1650 myself one day.

I agree with all of DX3's comments. There is no real good answer to a "what is it worth" post.
Like I tell everyone else, its worth whatever YOU think its worth.

A 1650 with strong engine, good mounts, and no trunnion issues is worth at max $500 minus attachments and 3pt in my area. I placed my 1450 up for sale at 500 due to the engine expense i still owe as the only reason i have it that high. Not to mention i have replaced a fair bit of the parts in it as well, did the engine cradle mod, trans skid plade mod, fixed the trunnion, and still have some parts on my shelf that i havnt installed yet. Its depends more on if you the buyer and the seller are happy with the price that is agreed upon. A 1650 is a beat of a cub with plenty of power to spare and a great fit for many jobs and play time...err i mean getting alot of the honey do list done so you can keep your fleet!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
