Default 1914 info

I am looking at a 1914. Just wondering if there are any problems with them.

There could be a lot of things wrong with it. Let me go check it out for you and I will let you know if it is a good deal.

It's a yellow and white 982 with a cat 0 hitch. It should have the Onan B48G engine in it. Pretty rare machine.

Oak pretty much.

Pretty rare cub. Grab it and add it to your collection. Worse part about 'em is the Onan engines. Pricey to replace parts.

Yeah I hope I get it. The guy wants to trade for a jon boat and we happen to have a jon boat. Hopefully he takes the trade I see it has power steering and he says it has the PTO so it should have the 3 pt hitch too.

That must be the one on Craigslist. He advertised as a Cub Cadet. No model number if I remember. I quick glanced and figured it was a 1872 or 2072. Good luck with the trade.

Yeah that's the one. I figured it was a 1914 because he said it was an 85 model and it had the PTO.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
