Can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I see the pictures of people plowing with their cubs, with nice deep furrows, with the right wheel down in the furrow and the tractor leaning over doing a great job. Mine seems to only want to go 2 or 3 inches deep. I was hoping that someone with experience could look at these pictures and let me know what to change. Thanks in advance.

I haven't turned any dirt yet with mine, but was told to have it set like this.
Sitting on blocks on the left side front & back ![]() With the plow sitting flat or slightly nose down ![]() Do you have the Brinly plow manual? |

Thanks so much for the quick response! I've looked at the manual online, but these pictures and explanations are much clearer to me. Now I've got some new techniques to try. Can't wait to get back at it.

Jeff,
Loose the spring and hitch pin on the pin for the plow. The stuble in the field will pull out the hitch pin and the spring will pull out the pin. Also the sleeve hitch is upside down. |

There is a thread on here someplace that tells how to set a plow up. The right way, but I can't find it.

You can lose the coulter or add some weight to the plow. Do the plow setup thats on this sight. If you don't have weight on the back of the plow, the coulter will not let the plow pull in. After looking at your first pic you need to adjust the point of the plow up and move your coulter about 1 inch from the plow. Hope this helps

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
