And here is one from Summit Racing. The 2 1/16 inch hole you have in the dash tower is a perfect location for such device. This is what is going in my 72.
![]() ![]() See where I have the starter switch on my 72. I dont know if a model 72 had a amp meter, but this seems to go hand in hand. ![]() I'am restoring the 72. The tower is to be repainted, and I have the k241 sent out for a rebuild. I was recomended to use a voltmeter in place of the amp, but it's up to the tractor owner.

I would mount it on its own bracket like the dealers did, but it is your tractor.........

I know it was an option according to the manual and I was trying to determine how the dealers would have mouted it since I believe it was a dealer option not a factory option.
I believe it was a flat bracket that the gauge dropped into like the Farmall Cubs. Thanks for the comment on the 72. Just got it a few days ago and I'm just fixing up the little things. It is a 1968 with creeper, headlights, rear grote, fenders and mower deck. I'm putting my hydraulics unit on it as well. My daughter Abigail really likes it! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
