I, too, have love for the 169. Never owned one, but I always did like them.

When my dad was a kid he would ride with my uncle to the IH dealer in town where my uncle worked just to drive the cubs out then walk to school. He said they sold a good 150 cubs a year and he only remembers driving 1 169 the entire time he drove cubs out for the dealer. That should tell you how rare the 169's are.

Yea I voted for the 169 also. I would go with the more rare tractor. And I really like restoring the 2147R last year. "Bigger the block the bigger the talk" .

As long as you have the serial tag, motor, muffler, muffler shield, air cleaner and hopefully the hour meter your good. Any other part is easy to find off of other tractors
