10/12 HP Kohler Engine Question
One day last week I bought a 129 with a tiller (I'll try to get some pic's up).
It kind of a rough old dog but it runs and the tiller works good. I brought it home gave it a quick once-over and sent my Brother off to till garden. As I have said before, with these tractors being 30 to 50 years old heaven only knows what has been done to them over the years. As I was "looking this thing over" before I bought it, I noticed that it had a flat bottom oil pan and a "tall" dipstick tube. So here is my question: Did IH/Kohler ever use/produce a 12 hp engine with a flat bottom pan and a "tall" dipstick tube.

I don't know if they ever produced them like that, but i know some of the guys that pull Cubs put the flat pans on them and cut the oil slinger off to clear.
For some reason they say it helps the power  Just my
