Default Need pieces for this moldboard plow

I bought this at a yardsale today, which is funny to me because this is exactly why I was at yardsales today!

I need a pin to attach the plow to the hitch that came with it, I'm sure I'll find that at Tractor Supply. More important, I need something to attach the hitch to the lift bar on my tractor. Which plow and hitch did I buy, and what parts do I need?

Thanks
Jason

Looks like someone did a good job adapting the plow to a Cub.

Looks like the plow is centered on the tractor ?? If so , get a couple of floating straps to attach it to your lift from the flat stock on the plow and try it out. Sponsors and forum members have them for sale , or make them yourself if you have the skill and tools.

Looks like you may have to lose the hitch plate.

Follow this link and scroll down a little past halfway and forum member JeffinPA has some straps for sale. They are the flat stock with the slots/holes in them.

http://onlycubcadets.com/

Link didn't work ?? Go to the For Sale section and on page one he has an ad for WF Frankensien bolts with Jamnuts.

I see you both are in PA. , maybe he is close by.

That plow is a 8" Brinly slot hitch plow for the older Wheel Horses. I picked one up at an auction a couple years ago. Mine didn't have the coulter wheel attached. Fairly collectable if you have a Wheel Horse. A guy in PA traded me a Massey Ferguson 10 for the plow.

Looks like it's offset ( which is what you want.)

Got your PM Jason. Obviously these lift straps will be a custom item and I'll need some measurements so they actually work.

The more I look at the pictures, the more I think floating straps won't work too well. Not a lot of floating room on the bottom.

Sent you a PM

Jeff

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
