Default Hello from Montana

I have been using this site for awhile now and just thought i should just join it already. I became hooked on the cubs about two years ago when my friend found a cub 107 on a trailer headed for the scrap. A hundred dollars and it was mine. The only thing it had going for it was the fact that it was all there and it had a tiller gearbox. The first thing i did was tear it all down sandblasted it and had it powder coated. This spring i was lucky enough to find a #2b tiller for $125. While I was on vacation in Portland I found a 149 with a tiller on craigslist. For $600 it and a parts 125 were mine. I wont bore u with my life story but I will say that I am hooked on this addiction and my eyes are always open for more CCC stuff as i travel the country side working on CNH equipment.

Here are some more pics of the 107 while it was being built and a pic of my load as I was leaving Portland. You can just see the rear wheel of my friends 140 JD. We found that this is 10times the tilling unit than it was. Sorry about how foggy the pics are my lens on my camera phone is broken. And the tiller behind the 149 isn't rusted someone just painted it brown for some reason.

The 125 on the back of the truck is a parts unit. I'm going to be putting most of it's parts up for sale or trade in the wanted section.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
