Bury the vine every 2 feet with dirt, it will reroot!! Look for the root starters at joints, bury it there!!

Spray it every week, or after a rain, with Permethrin-10. I get it at TSC.

I spray the horses, stink bugs, ants, bees, any bug that bothers me with that stuff!!

A quart will make 100-200 gallons of spray.

That is a huge cabbage, I planted 28 plants and have 7 that have survived, the weather has been wrecking havoc, got the cukes training on the trellis idea. My beans have been climbing good for a two weeks, the tomatos are all caged up and trying to outgrow them. Got a row of white and a row of russets, the whites were seed potatos and the russets are some that were left froma bag the wife had that I stored in the cabinet until they eyed out nicely. I also have 4 rows of white sweet corn and a full row of okra. The storms we have had have not been nice to my plants, even the red onions have caught it they were all laying on the ground flat after the last storm. I'll get you kids some pics tomorrow...

Just ate my first potato's fresh out of the garden! Idaho grown taters don't taste this good! The reds are the largest so going to have to start harvesting those asap. The whites are still growing so going to give them some more time to get bigger.

The odd thing I noticed is the smaller the plant the larager the tater. Anyone else notice this before?

You sound surprised? Home grown is always 100% better.
Everyone always told me that as long a a tater' plant is green they are still growing.
What stages were your plants at when harvesting?
Everyone I know only harvest when the plants turn completely brown in fall. What is your take on pikin' taters'?
Just trying to learn.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
