that would be a lot cheaper than $2600 for a billy goat mower. A guy at church has a complete gravely walk behind setup (sickle, brush hog, finish mower, snow blower, blade) and wants me to make him an offer, but I honestly don't know how to price it.

If this helps any, a guy down the road from me offered to sell me his Gravely. Came with sulky for riding, brush cutter, push blade and roto-tiller. Hasn't run in 10 years. $300. And friends of mine that knows a little about gravelys say that was high. But I thought it was pretty fair. I didn't buy it, but he still has it. Actually has two of them.

this one runs and is still used occasionally, I need to get the exact model, I know it's in the early 80's. He's meticulous with his stuff, he's got a IH 340 that looks mint that is still used for bailing and a early 90's Kubota L series that he waxes regularly. He's a pretty cool old farmer. I'd rather have something I can use with a cub though, haha! Or if I ever get that FA Cub pieced back together.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
