Default Always wanted a Cub

Hi All,
Just thought I'd say hello. Always wanted a Cub but city life didn't require it. Now I'm living where I'm more comfortable and finally got myself a old 127 IHCC. It's got it's problems but it's almost as old as me and I got more warts than it does.

I got the 127, 48" mower deck, two snow blowers, the Peco bagger vacuum w/Tecumseh engine and wand, all the original manuals, 4 kitchen cabinets and a basketball hoop for the kids. He wouldn't budge on the price but sweetened the deal with the extra's.

Runs pretty good as does the Peco. Not sure if it's not charging or battery is shot but I can jump it and get things done. It's pretty complete and original. The guy I bought it from had it for 30 yrs and it came with his house from the first owner. Looking to get a tiller setup and do some serious gardening with my wife. Mows great!!

OCC.net has been a good resource for figuring stuff out. Any sage advice welcome.

Thanks,
Bill

Nice 127 Dremel
Got some nice attachments as well.
Start with the battery and see if it is good.
If it checks out let us know and we will start from there.
Some of the guys here are great with charging problems, and will be glad to help you get it going

That looks like a 42" deck and not a 48". A 48 will have blades that are almost the same length and the 42 will have two short and one long.

Oops, you are correct sir. The guy I bought it from didnt sell it as a 48, we measured it before I bought it, it's a 42..

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
