Default mower deck scalping the yard

Ok so here is a question Im sure someone has come up with a fix for. I have a 1450 with a 50 inch deck. The deck is leveled and mows great as long as the ground is completly flat however, if you hit the slightest bit of unlevel turf the deck scalps the high side. I noticed that all the later model decks have guide wheels off the corners to prevent this. I am wandering if anyone has any pictures of how to modify my 50 inch deck with the same type of setup. I also only seem to be able to get about 2.5 inches of mowing height on my deck and keep it level, would putting a bigger set of wheels on the back be able to help this. I am already in the lowest hole possible. Thanks

I see no reason that you couldn't put a larger wheel on it. I have an old rotted out 50" shell that had the wheels on all 4 corners. I could cut the front wheel brackets off of it and you could weld them to your deck if you want to add wheels to the front.

That would probably work great for me how much would you like for them? Is there anyway you could send a pic or two?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
