1st time on here, so go slow with me. I have CC model 127, Kohler K-301 A engine. how critical is govenor setting? What should RPM of engine be at full throttle under load?

The govenor setting is important. It should be set the 3600 RPM. The service and owners manuals can get downloaded from Kohlers site. They will have the default settings in it. Is you governor broke or not set right? It's the frist thing in and the last out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
