Picture of generator wiring
Can you show me a picture or two of your NF wiring harness around your generator? I need to redo this one as it looks like poo.
 I'm trying to achieve the best look for the harness to come up from the frame rail and might model something I see if I like it. I'm also hoping I won't have to pull the engine to do so. If I have to loosen the mounting bolts I will, but I'm hoping to avoid that too. Thank you!

I dont have a pic but the harness on my 147 goes down into frame in front of the flywheel notch and back along inside of the frame. dont know if you can get it in there without raising motor some to make it easier.

I work on a 126 about a year ago. Best thing you can do is go the technical section of this site and download the wire diagram if you haven't did that. I purchase a replacement wire harness from Porch Electric. The wires are the correct colors and it was easy to install. It is much easier to remove the engine from the tractor.
The wire harness does go down by the frame rail on the right side of the tractor. There is a ground wire that attaches to one of the bolts that holds the starter-generator on the engine.

Worked on the wiring yesterday. This meant pulling all the connections with the lights, generator, coil, regulator, etc, and re routing them. I tried to lift the engine but had a difficult time with the cap screws that are under the axle. Eventually I was able to work it around the flywheel in the tiny space it belongs in.
    Sort of a PITA but wasn't a bad afternoon job, and it looks SO MUCH better.
