I need something that will clear most of the rocks and not get damaged too much if it hits the occasional rocky outcrop. A sickle mower might work, though. Good idea.

Now, I wonder if any of THOSE are here in CO. Seems like all the attachments I'm after are well east of me.
if you could find a flail mower that would work great too on the rocks and such. I can definitely attest that the sickle works great on stumps and rocks, just bounces off and knocks the bar back to keep from any damage being done.

Or you could always go with a self powered pull behind rough cut mower like a swisher.

My deck only has one blade per spindle, is it supposed to have two blade per?

No, that's something I did to help it mulch up leaves and small brush.

Either a sickle mower or a flail mower will work, I think. But I don't see any at the moment anywhere near Colorado. So I'll just have to keep looking.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
