Might be a 2084 headed my way
A while ago I posted on CL to trade my like new Stihl MS-362 for a old cub cadet. I finally got a good hit. A guy has a 2084 with a 60" deck, snow plow, and tire chains that he wants to trade. The bad is that he said the engine started to smoke a while back and then got real bad and started to miss out too. He has another engine for it that was supposed to have came out of a cub cadet. Not sure of what the extra engine is, but the deal sounds great to me. I really have no room for this tractor so it will be going down the road eventually, either whole or in parts. We'll have to see if/when I get it home.

I have a 2084. When you do get it running be sure to speed up the engine before shutting it down. Otherwise you get engine backfires which can cause head gaskets to blow. This is contrary to most shut down procedures but has to be followed with the command 20 engine. This tractor has the aluminum rear and the rear bolts must be kept tight.

Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.

Going to look at the tractor tomorrow. Sounds like the engine might be a easy fix. The deck is only a 48" though. Blade is a haban manual angle. Once i get it running, i plan on selling the package for $1500.
