Okay, other than the one I'm showing here of course has anyone ever seen any rubber bushings like this? I've looked on McMaster Carr, gone to a local hardware store, and have done a pretty good web search. They're rubber vibration dampers that go under the seat on one of my tractors. I wanted to get an additional set of four for another tractor I have only to find that they're NLA from the current manufacture of the original tractor this one came from. The dimensions are 1 9/16" overall diameter (could have started out as 1 1/2" and flattened out) 7/16" thick (could have started out as 1/2" and flattened) and has a 3/8" diameter hole in the middle to except a 5/16" bolt. Probably 1 1/2" w. x 1/2" th. with 3/8" hole.

How about some thick rubber grommets?
http://www.mcmaster.com/#rubber-grommets/=4ir8q8 I have 4 fairly thick (>1/2") rubber bushings off my old truck shock absorbers. If you're close enough in CO, I can give them to you. My zip is 80026. PM me if you're close. If you're too far away, go to your local auto repair facility and ask if you can scrounge through their dead shock absorber pile. You want the front shocks with the stud. Good Luck and hope this helps! Jim |

Jim,
Thank you for the help. I found a source for the bushings. I was told that the part I was looking for was NLA by the tractor manufacture but found out it subbed to a different number. ![]() |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
