That 147 is a beast and will push alot of snow if set up with chains and weights. I like the pictures and the scratches and dents plus faded paint give it character, thats how I like em.

As far as snow removal goes, I don't have any weights (yet) but the chains are a sure thing. Trust me, you'll get pics as soon as I get it converted over and then some action shots. ![]()

true dat. The only thing I like it for is pushing/pulling. I used to use a farmall H with a 6' blade at my parents place when I lived there and I could do it all day long. I'm hoping the cub will treat me just as nicely.

Drglinski - looks very good, both mowing job and tractor. I've got a 109 that I've been mowing with this Summer and after a goodly bit of adjusting, new belts, blades, etc, I'm getting a great cut. The tractor is very heavy and the tires leave stripes and if I just had something heavy between the wheels, I could stripe the lawn.
I especially like the 147 - looks great and plenty of power too. Good luck, Bill

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
