Red face My first Cub

Just brought home my first Cub after having the engine rebuilt. I was given this 1967 CC 122 from a friend. It belong to his father who had passed away and he was going to take it to the dump. It also came with the front 42" spring trip blade, Haban 402-C sickle bar mower, 42" mower deck, 2 sets of Brinly disk, Brinly cultivator, wheel weights, and an assortment of Brinly plows. I am now hooked with the YELLOW FEVER disease and don't think there is a cure I'm going to start the process of painting it after I do some plowing in the flower beds. Can't wait to move dirt with the front blade. Love this site and I know I will have questions as I start using it so hope ya will show this newbe some love.

Welcome aboard!
Did you just say your friend gave you the cub along with all those attachments?
If so, you are a lucky man! Congrats and we'd all love to see some pics of the attachments.

Yes Red56Turbo he gave me everything. I was lucky. The implements are rusted but solid. Now I got to start the process of painting them all. I don't what the red parts go to in the last picture? The blades move back and forth on the Haban just need to figure out what belts I need for it. Maybe some here can tell me?

Awesome scores! The red parts are for a off topic tractor maybe wheel horse.

The belt info should be in the tech section of the site.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
