I use mine mainly for fun time. We're out in the country, cut grass, plow and till our little garden, level the gravel driveway, sweep the lawn, pull the yard trailer. Chores of all kinds!
Or just out on a joy ride ![]()

I use mine for mowing the ditch. Sickle bar goes on in the spring...doesnt come off till late fall. I put the blade on it but never use it because plowing with a truck is much more fun/warm/fast.

Definitely country here and I use my cubs for mowing about 3 acres, grass and leaf vacuuming, hauling dirt, hauling firewood to the woodshed and to the house, leveling dirt, plowing snow, blowing snow around the neighborhood, Mowing and ground work at hunting camp. Whew now I am tired, think I will take a nap.

I use the little 782 for mowing 3 acres or so.
I occasionally attach the snow thrower for helping the neighbors, but prefer the bigger loader/rear blade tractor for snow. |

I have a 1/4 acre suburban lot with some extra grass near the street and across the street. Most use is hauling firewood and other stuff around with the cart and snow removal. I do some mowing with it, but my 22" Honda walk behind is much better suited to my lawn. I also do some plowing for a nearby community garden.

I use mine around the farm for lots of chores, cultivating, dragging the harrow and pulling wagons mostly.Mowing isnt one of them tho. I did mow with the 1450 once and it did a great job, the Sears is just so much faster. Mowing is a chore to me, not a fun thing. The 126 gets the most use, for now. The 122 will be stricly for show off affairs. I hope to get the 1450 all prettied up sooner or later.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
