Default Why would one weld this?
My # 127 came with a blade attached. While inspecting it I found a piece of metal stock welded on the frame of the blade. Why would someone do this?

a snow blade? if so the "arms" on the undercarriage most likly got twisted up, from hitting snowdrifts at mach 1. I've bent them up, quite badly

Maybe they wanted to move the location of the pivot point outboard for some reason?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
