So I'm really glad I took the time to load the tires, adjust the chains and the feet on the snow blade yesterday. We have about 6-8" depending on drifts and the 1641 with the 54" blade went through it like a hot knife through butter!!! Take a look....

I woke up to a BIG MESS. The snow measures 25" on my deck. Big drifts all over the place and the wind is still blowing up a storm. Clearing this mess is gonna suck. One more cup of coffee and I'm going out to clean it up.

IMHO I'd put my $$ into a Farmall letter series (H, M, 300, 400 etc) before I'd look into a lo boy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
