Here's the house just as the first wave of heavy snow was hitting.

My Jeep with an unhappy face the next morning after the storm

one of my apple trees holding on to its snow

After view of the house, I particularly like the smoke-stained snow frozen to the chimney

my poor van!

The only casualty of the storm on my property, the tent shed collapsed during the first round of plowing.

Baby Matilda helping my plow!

Letting the snow melt off after a long couple days of plowing. what a great little tractor!

hope everyone out there made it through ok!
Awesome pics, Ian! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Had to drive to w. mass and back today, so didn't have much time to upload anything as it took me 10 hours yesterday to do my driveway with the cub cadet (talk about seat time!). I'm simply amazed at what these things are capable of...I started with the snow thrower but it was -20 with wind chill out and everything on it that moved just froze up, so I threw the plow back on it and started a long day of bulldozing snow (I didn't use the shovel other than to dig the cub out of drifts, doing 600+ ft of shoveling 3ft of snow I am all set with). I obviously didn't use the plow truck (though I wish I had been able to, it needs a weld and at the moment I have no welding equipment). We got 30" total, but the wind drifts made some of my lawn bare and some just covered...4-5ft.

Wow, you got a foot more than we got and I thought we had it bad. Well, at least the wind blew all the snow off your main roof. I've been debating on weather I should shovel my roof. There's alot of weight up there and on top of that we're getting rain today. That will add some pounds to it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
