Default Wheel weights
Does anyone know where you can get cast iron wheel weights? I've looked on dozens of different sites but no luck. I'm looking for the 75 lb weights. I have the concrete filled plastic 75 lb weights but they cover the whole inside if the wheel & I'm wanting to run duals so I can't put a spacer in with the wheel covered.

Steiner tractor parts makes a copy of the original ih ones, only 30lbs a piece though. If i remember correctly they are about $125/pair.

I have Bolens weights that are 58lbs each and a set of gilson or fords that are almost the same. Those are the heaviest steel ones I've seen that where not home made.

Thanks guys, I may be better off just going with a wider tire & using the weights I have, I just think the duals look really good.....

I just filled my inside with fluid and used Bolens weights on the outside. Gives plenty of weight.

bvillecadet, i was thinking on going with fluid, actually thought about going with duals & fluid in all four tires. How weight did you get by adding the fluid??

Depends on what fluid you use and size of tires and how much you put in. Rim guard aka beet juice is about 12# and water is 8.75 per gal.

I gained over 40 pounds with windshield wiper fluid. Took about 6 gallons per tire . I 23x8.50 deestones. Used a hand pump from TS it worked ok leaked like crazy so I took it back. Did the job though.

Just the fluid alone was a great help, made it so I could climb our hill and mow. The duals help for stabilizing it on sidehills. None of our land is flat here in NC. There are a lot of disadvantages to the duals though. Can't mow close to buildings and walls can't plow close to buildings and walls and it makes for a tight fit inbetween posts ect. but looks cool as hell : )

Water is 8.33 lbs per gal.

I use RV anti freeze in my stuff, non toxic if you get a leak. Break the bead on the valve stem side and just pour it in. Fast and easy.
